Last month, (Dec 2020) a UTLO member submitted a grievance to the UTLO that explained how the BSC lowered his annual medical opt-out to only $1100.  The UTLO contacted the BSC about this issue and demanded a fair rate of payment for all UTLO members who submit a medical opt-out request.

The UTLO is proud to report that as a result of our demands, UTLO members are now eligible to receive $3300 lump sum payment if they opt-out of the MTA Medical Plan.

As a reminder, under law everyone must have a medical plan.  But, if you are covered under your spouses plan, or have retired from the military or other institution, you can opt out of the MTA  medical plan and use your other plan.

Another great win for the UTLO!
